Vision Statement
Camrose and Area Adult Learning Council meets the learning and employability needs of adults in a welcoming and non-judgmental environment.
Mission Statement
By providing individual or small group leaning opportunities for adults and families within Camrose and Camrose County,
Camrose and Area Adult Learning Council:
Assists adult learners to define their learning goals and provides direction for continued learning related to academic upgrading, secondary education or employment
Supports newcomers in learning the English language and preparing to become contributing citizens
Teaches foundational literacy skills (reading, writing, document use, numeracy, and technology) and essential skills for work
Builds capacity of families through information and modeling of positive early learning experiences
Collaborates with community partners to access services needed by our learners

We offer assessments and courses which can be used for the workplace and daily living. Improving your literacy skills will improve your employment opportunities and the quality of your day to day life. Many of our programs are free or low cost and adults with financial challenges may be eligible for subsidies. Money doesn’t need to be a barrier.
