A cabinet shuffle is on the horizon and I think the whole thing is a result of massive public misunderstanding.
The provincial government may have a poor communications policy, but that doesn't render their policies useless and ineffective.
Most of the angry public don't have a genuine understanding of the issues and many don't care to take the time to be informed.
It's sad that we are evolving into a society where people will believe everything they hear, without questioning the source and seeking the facts for themselves.
The Progressive Conservatives have been trying to move the province into a financially sustainable situation, and the skewed information that has been propogated sets them out as the bad guy. That's just not the case. Not to say that they're perfect, but sometimes positive change requires tough decisions that may not be publicly popular at the time.
Shuffling ministers to different portfolios will likely just roll back some of the progress already made, essentially resetting the problems to square one.
The Wild Rose Alliance has been cast as some sort of dream team that would solve all of our problems problems. In reality, they are a young party with no platform, only 3 sitting members (two of whom are political opportunist defectors) and a leader that does not even hold a seat in the legislature.
It's interesting that those who are complaining about perceived "cuts" are supporting the Wild Rose party. They are openly further right than our current government. That does not mean more money for health care and education and solutions for everything. The Wild Rose Alliance would bring in actual budget cuts of a significant size and would be good friends of big oil companies. They aren't a solution.
Consider your views and ask yourself if you have a reason for holding them. If not, perhaps you have jumped to fallacious conclusions and need to revisit the facts.
Nobody was complaining during the booming economic years and indeed we are going through a difficult patch right now, but I think our current government can bring us back to prosperity, just as they have done in the past.
