Panhandle Productions, its partners and Tim McGraw announced the balance of the talent line-up for the Big Valley Jamboree Makeup Concert that will be held on Sept. 17 at Edmonton’s Rexall Place.
Country music superstar Tim McGraw was originally scheduled to close the show at the Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose on Aug. 2, and is now headlining the show at Rexall Place, which will be exclusively for Big Valley Jamboree ticket holders.
“We were deeply saddened by the tragedy that struck Big Valley Jamboree and are proud to be a part of the makeup concert,” stated McGraw.
Headlining the show will be McGraw, arguably the biggest name in country music today. A multiple Grammy Award winner, McGraw has had eleven consecutive albums debut at number one on the Billboard album charts.
In addition to McGraw, the always-popular music and comedy duo of Williams and Ree will be on stage. The self-described “Indian and the White Guy” have entertained audiences at the Big Valley Jamboree and in clubs and arenas throughout North America for over three decades. Williams and Ree have developed an on-stage personality and camaraderie that is pure entertainment for everyone. They were originally scheduled to appear at the Big Valley Jamboree on Aug. 2.
Alberta’s own Gord Bamford will be an important part of the makeup concert. This Juno nominated artist has rapidly established a reputation as one of country music’s rising young male vocalists. Bamford was scheduled to appear on Big Valley’s Main Stage on Aug. 1, but had to cancel due to a family health issue.
Opening the show will be a Songwriter’s Circle, patterned after the ever-popular Songwriter’s Workshop that has been a Big Valley staple for years. Featuring artists Clayton Bellamy, New Sarepta’s own Tracy Millar, Samantha King and Shane Chisholm, the Songwriter’s Circle will be an intimate and unplugged look into the minds and thoughts that go into crafting country music.
