Wolverines crush Kodiaks

The Camrose Kodiaks need to regroup in a hurry after getting crushed 10-4 by the Whitecourt Wolverines on Friday night at Encana Arena.

Jaedon Leslie led the onslaught with three goals and two assists while, Cody Laskosky had one goal and three assists and Liam Motley had a goal and two assists as the Wolverines' top line dominated all night. Noah Tooke, Alessio Luciano, Stevie Bryant, Tyr Thompson and Spencer Bast also scored for Whitecourt.

Tye Morin made 25 saves for the win.

Matt Dykstra, McKenzie Welke, Colson Gengenbach and Jacob Kendall replied for Camrose. Griffin Bowerman got the start for Camrose but was pulled after giving up six goals through 34:54. Landon Pavlisin finished out the game, giving up four more goals.

The Kodiaks have another tough test to in their second game of the Alberta Junior Hockey League Showcase as they host the Fort McMurray Oil Barons on Saturday at 7 p.m.
